I started Recycled Originals in September 2001, making handsewn home furnishings from old or discarded clothing and fabrics. By November 2001, I began making handpoured candles in recycled containers and taking them to the craft shows with us. Well, the candles quickly became a big hit and I made them for many years.

Over the years, my product line expanded to include body lotions, wax tarts, votives, jelly jar candles, tealights, aroma beads, pillar candles, lip balms, etc. Due to increasing supply costs we are currently phasing out out jar candes, palm wax tealights and handmade air fresheners.

Over the last five years, I went back to my roots and brought handsewn items back to the business. I am making utilitarian totes from beautiful commercial vinyls, leathers and upholstery fabrics.

All of my one-of-a-kind totes, cross body bags, messenger bags & accessories are made from new, rescued materials from the furniture mfg. industry.

I use cut-a-ways and remnants, and combine different textures and materials in my bags for an aesthetically pleasing, but utilitarian look.

Pretty bags that you can use everyday!

It's always fun to make something beautiful & useful from scraps, bolt ends and mfg. rejects.

I have always been a textile junkie and can't bear to see them go to waste.

My scraps and materials that I can't use are then passed on to other artists, who make beautiful items too.
I now offer a limited number of my bags and accessories on Etsy for the benefit of my out-of-town customers.

Keep checking in for more info and updates!

I love the purple bag I bought from you at the Pemberville Fall craft show. Many compliments when I carried it today.

Hi Kina....I never did sign up for this I guess. Now I am! I love my midnight blue tote bag I bought from you. So far I have not managed to tear it up---very durable!
